Encouragement

Searching for a new job or career can be an extremely difficult and stressful time in your life, especially if you're currently out of work. Feelings of fear, doubt, confusion, inadequacy and worry can all enter into our thoughts.
It takes alot of courage to put yourself out in the job market. What exactly does courage mean?
  • Mental or Moral Strength.
  • To venture, persevere, withstand danger/fear/hardship/difficulty.
“Courage involves the willingness to take risks, but risk taking can lead to either good or bad decisions. To achieve results, courage has to be paired with good judgment and the right skill level.”

Don't let fear convince you that you're too weak to have courage. Fear is the opportunity for courage. We're all afraid of something. The one fear we must all guard against is the fear of ourselves. Don't let fear convince you that you're too weak to have courage. No one is born a coward, we have to be taught courage. We learn about courage from others through support and positive examples they display.

“Remember no one can make you feel inferior without your consent.”
Eleanor Roosevelt

We have to recognize that fear is normal. But developing courage means you need to do things that normally may make you feel uncomfortable. Courage allows you to step outside of your comfort zone.

“Courage is like a muscle. The more we exercise it, the stronger it gets.”

We need to recognize that social support can bolster our courage. The encouragement of others can, for instance, give you the drive and energy to go forward with even the most difficult of tasks. How many of you feel comfort knowing that others are going through the same struggles. That is a perfect example of social support. God is always with us and he never promised that life would be easy, but he did promise to go with us every step of the way.

“You must do the thing you think you cannot do.”
Eleanor Roosevelt

If you do the thing you think you cannot do, you'll feel your resistance, your hope, your dignity and your courage grow stronger. So who are the most courageous people in the world?
  • Fire Fighters?
  • Policeman?
  • Armed Forces?
  • Explorers?
  • Astronauts?
  • Mountaineers?
  • World Leaders?
  • Athletes?
It's the people who are willing to step outside of their comfort zone. It's the people who are willing to learn about and change their habits and beliefs in order to fulfill their dreams.

“ You haven't failed until you quit trying.”
  • You must begin to control your own thoughts.
  • You must think positive about your situation.
  • You must quit wasting all of your energy on negative wasteful thoughts, like blame and worry, they have no useful purpose.
The only purpose for negative thoughts is too weaken our spirits and reduce our energy. If we continue to let negative thoughts take control of us, we will get further and further from our potential. You must let go of the past. Those of you who are still unable to deal with being let go, being fired, being laid off, downsized; whatever the case may be, you must move on and begin to think about your situation in a positive way.

“Every exit is an entry somewhere else.”
Tom Stoppard

Focus on necessary and positive thoughts. Do the things that keep your life working naturally. Remember positive thoughts are the ones that move you forward with the intention of forming a Win/Win relationship. Positive thoughts bring you energy and success. Always expect good things to happen to you each day. Wake up knowing that today is the day that everything is going to change for the better.

“You can't change what's already happened, but give it to God and you can change your future.”

Remember that you have the freedom to control your thoughts and choose and your behavior
Let go of yesterday's disappointments, So lets look at today as a new beginning.

“The best thing about the future is that it only comes one day at a time.”
Abraham Lincoln
